Biography of Andre Counsil

Andre Council is a proud U.S. Army veteran whose core values of trust and integrity guide his decision-making. Currently, he serves as a SCORE mentor, volunteering to support entrepreneurs and small business owners by providing expert business advice and consulting on best practices. Andre’s extensive expertise in problem solving and customer experience excellence underscores his strong belief in the power of relationship building.

Andre holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA in Operations Management. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and has over 20 years of experience in Finance, Insurance, Investing, and Business Consulting. With more than 15 years of leadership experience in Corporate America, he most recently served as Manager of Claims Operations at USAA.

In his spare time, Andre enjoys spending quality moments with his wife and two young daughters. You can often find them at neighborhood parks or on tennis courts, where he loves teaching them the game of tennis. Andre is also deeply connected to the Hampton Roads community and has partnered with several organizations such as Jr. Achievement, Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, Hampton Roads Community Foundation, LISC, and is a board member of the Virginia African American Cultural Center.
